Spring in Temple Square

(Image via Google)

Today the youth and leaders in my stake woke up bright and early to go to Temple Square to plant flowers and clean up some flower beds. Of course I forgot my camera, so I can't show how awesome it was to have 4 stakes (400 people) all lined up and working. We planted flowers, and ripped out others to plant new ones. The best part was having everyone line up against a section of dirt to pass mulch down to the leaders, where they dumped it onto the dirt, and then three girls and me "frosted the cake" and evened out the mulch with rakes. It was amazing to see so many youth and leaders working together to make Temple Sqaure such a beautiful place. Our hard work payed off and the flower beds were amazing. What a wonderful way to start out a Saturday!

This is an example of the flower beds we planted.

We did that as a Stake service project last year and I had SO much fun. I don't know about you, but my favorite parts were watching the brides come out in their dresses though. :)
