The Joys of Being a Car Owner

I love my car. It's so perfect. Especially now that it's clean!!! On Saturday, I woke up to this...

I was quite surprised! I was happy but confused. I didn't know anyone who would do this to my car, but don't worry, I figured it out. :)

{A lanyard and two pencils were also connected to my car}

After I cleaned up the saran wrap and balloons, Dad and I dusted and vacuumed my car. That alone took forever. Then we went and washed it. When we got back, we waxed it and made it look squeaky clean. The whole process took about six hours, but it was worth it because I got to spend all that time with my dad, and now my car looks brand new! Seriously, who knew deep cleaning and waxing a car could do such wonders?! Unfortunately, when washing the engine, water got into some cap and my car was acting funny. So we took it into the shop yesterday and now it's all better. Hopefully it stays like that. :)

{Waxing}

{I promise it's super clean. That black stuff in the carpet is just where it's been worn.}

{The trunk was the grossest. I should've taken a before and after picture.}

{My 'new' to me car!}

{Thanks for helping me, Dad!}

{Look how shiney!!}

SURPRISE!

I GOT A CAR!!!
Yes, indeed. I finally have a car, thanks to my awesome Uncle Vance. He's been helping me look for a car for the past few months and on Saturday he surprised me with one! We went to my grandparent's for Father's Day, and low and behold he pulls into the driveway with a cute little Nissan Altima. I didn't think much of it, just thinking he'd gotten a new car himself. It wasn't until about five minutes later he says, "Hey Dad, did you see my new set of wheels? Oh wait, they're not my wheels!" and then he hands me the keys. AHHH! I screamed and then yelled, "Are you serious??!" You can tell by the picture below that I was overjoyed. :) I don't know how on earth my family kept it a secret. Everyone knew but me.

I simply have the best Uncle in the world. He picked out the perfect little car for me. It's cute, has AC, automatic locks and windows, cruise control, a radio that works, and much more. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks Uncle Vance!! Now it's time to accessorize. ;)

P.S. I made a trifle with Savanna to take to my grandparent's. We bought a real trifle pan so now it actually looks official. Yay for trifle! Soooo good. :)
