Christmas Time is Here!

Christmas is a much loved holiday at my house. We listen to Christmas music the first day of November and put up our lights (although we don't turn them on until December). This year we put up our decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Yay!
{I got to put the star on this year}

{The process of moving the tree. Dad usually ends up perfecting it.}

{Love love love!}

{One of my favorite things is the Nativity scene on our piano.}

Merry Christmas!

4th of July Weekend

This past weekend was filled with events! From parades, bee stings, fireworks, and barbecues, to hikes, ice cream, and family, it was a fantastic weekend. Here are some snapshots of what we did.

Mom said I had to 'commune' with nature, so I did. I talked to this tree (I promise I'm not crazy).
"Mom, do we have grass stains from sliding down the hill?"
Shadows.

Can you say... CrAzY??

{Momsie and Popsicle}

{Rach joined us later that night for the firework show}

{Sweet silhouettes from the sunset.}

{Fireworks!!}

Fourth of July BBQ with family.
 I made the dutch oven, and it actually turned out pretty tasty.

The annual cousin parade. Complete with a flag-carrier, floats, clowns, and acrobats.

{Love, USA, Hope}

Our very own firework show.
And who would've thought we'd need sweatshirts and blankets on the 4th of July?!

{Hiking in Logan Canyon on the 5th.}

{This tree is 2,560 years old! We live in 2010. Think about it...}

{Aggie ice cream! Mmm...mm...good.}

Karissa is set on being a true Aggie. Just look at her trot on over, stand on top, and "pucker up buttercup!"

{Maybe someday I'll be a true Aggie, too!}

{Daddy is definitely a true Aggie. Look at all those girls!}

Happy Birthday America!!!

SURPRISE!

I GOT A CAR!!!
Yes, indeed. I finally have a car, thanks to my awesome Uncle Vance. He's been helping me look for a car for the past few months and on Saturday he surprised me with one! We went to my grandparent's for Father's Day, and low and behold he pulls into the driveway with a cute little Nissan Altima. I didn't think much of it, just thinking he'd gotten a new car himself. It wasn't until about five minutes later he says, "Hey Dad, did you see my new set of wheels? Oh wait, they're not my wheels!" and then he hands me the keys. AHHH! I screamed and then yelled, "Are you serious??!" You can tell by the picture below that I was overjoyed. :) I don't know how on earth my family kept it a secret. Everyone knew but me.

I simply have the best Uncle in the world. He picked out the perfect little car for me. It's cute, has AC, automatic locks and windows, cruise control, a radio that works, and much more. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks Uncle Vance!! Now it's time to accessorize. ;)

P.S. I made a trifle with Savanna to take to my grandparent's. We bought a real trifle pan so now it actually looks official. Yay for trifle! Soooo good. :)
