On Wednesday, I had my spring choir concert. I'm in the Concert Choir and we sang some pretty exciting songs. I especially loved the last song, where all the choirs came together and sang, "Come Thou Fount," arranged by Mack Wilberg. It was beautiful.
I also have some exciting news... I made Xela!! Xela is the women's show choir and I'm so excited I made it! Tryouts were a few weeks ago and my letter came in the mail yesterday. I'm also in the A Capella choir, which is the Senior class choir. I'm so happy. :)
Changing subjects, on St. Patrick's Day, my family was going to have an Irish dinner, but since I had my choir concert that day, we had our dinner on Thursday. We had brisket sandwiches. The sandwich consists of: rye bread, corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut (shredded cabbage fermented in brine). If that doesn't sound gross enough, then I don't know what... It was simply disgusting. Nobody in my family liked it except my dad. I tried to be good and ate the whole thing, but I really hope I don't have to eat something like that ever again. I don't know how the Irish do it.

While waiting for our turn on stage, we watched, "The Princess and the Frog," in the choir room. I love this movie. I think I've watched it four times in the past three days.

You must remember that the corned beef idea was NOT mine. Every time I think about it, my stomach gets a bit squeamish. Your father tries so hard to culture us. :). SO happy you are in Xela--it will be a great experience for you. Love you muchly...Mom
