Date: Trevor Wilson
The asking:
{Going to Prom with you would be more fun then...well, having a giant bag of foam peanuts!}
The Answer:
{I took all your "peanuts" and made peanut butter for you. Hope you enjoy it on a sandwich or two!}
Day Activity:
We had a fantastic time playing Frisbee and soccer at the park, as well as that game in the Lycra stuff. You know what I'm talking about? Probably not. Here's a demonstration... it's a ton of fun.
The Dance:
I had the snazziest looking date. Seriously. I mean, a bow tie? How awesome is that?! And his shoes were black and white. You can't get much cooler than that.
The usual shotgun shell signing. I have yet to go on a second date with any boy who's had to sign one of these. ;)
We had dinner at the Mandarin, one of my all time favorite restaurants. It was perfect for prom. If you've never been, you haven't lived life to the fullest. Go there.
{The middle candid shot is my fave}
I was so fortunate to have Melissa in the same group as me! It made prom that much better. :)
At one point my beautiful corsage... fell off. So I had an "eco-friendly" corsage until we fixed it at Laura's. I liked both corsages quite a bit. :)
Prom was held at a car dealership this year because things didn't work out at the place originally reserved. It was actually pretty nice. And of course we had to get a few snapshots with the tires.
The dance was insanely fun. Trevor was a perfect gentleman and we danced the night away. I was even named Prom Queen for 2011, all thanks to my very sweet friend Lizz. She had set up a group on Facebook with a paragraph explaining why people should nominate me to be Prom Queen. It was so nice of her, but I didn't think it would actually work. When my name was called out, I didn't know what to do! I just kind of stood there while people gathered around me, patting my back, giving me a hug, and congratulating me. I was excited to be named Prom Queen, but what really touched me was Lizz's sweet act of kindness. It was so thoughtful and selfless of her. It's something that I'll never, ever forget. When she found me after the dance, she was in tears because she was so happy. I love her. After the dance we went to Trevor's house and ate delicious trifles that his mom made. We had a good time talking and laughing. Prom was one of the best dances I've been to, definitely a great way to end senior year. Thank you, Trevor, for such a fantabulous night!
Thanks to Melissa for the majority of the photos
