Some Things

Wow, it's been a crazy month full of AP tests, choir paraphernalia, and getting ready for graduation (yikes! I haven't completely grasped that concept yet). I promise I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I've just been busy.

Last night was my very first Institute class, and boy was it wonderful! I can tell I'm going to love love love it. The Church is true. I just know it. :)

School is pretty crazy, but not in a super busy way. Like today in Xela, all we did was tell stories and laugh a lot. I think we went through our songs once during the entire period. I watched a lot of movies in my classes today too, but I didn't mind. It was one of those lazy days, especially since it's been raining non stop.

Today I did this cool thing with my hair. Melissa taught it to me. You twist your hair around the side of your head and pull it to the side with a braid. It actually looks pretty neat. I didn't have to time to blow dry/straighten my hair today, so that's what I ended up doing. Luckily it turned out okay.

Have you ever tried Jillian Michaels workouts?  Holy cow. They kill me. Jillian is a machine. But after I do them I feel so great. So why did I not ever pick them back up again after the choir trip? I was doing so good before! That darn self discipline. I need to get back on track. Luckily Melissa's made me go running with her lately. She had me do stadiums one day. Those kill too. But I have to keep telling myself it's good for me and that I need to do them otherwise how am I ever gonna cross off, "run a marathon," on my bucket list?

I need to write a speech for English...that I'm giving tomorrow... about graduating and goals and all that good stuff. I also need to write a seminary graduation talk. I also need to write an essay for a scholarship that's due Friday. Maybe I should get working on those instead of blog stalking.... mm, nah.

Do you like lacrosse? I went to my very first lax game this year and it was quite entertaining! I think I'm a fan.

Utah has weird weather. Last week we had perfect temperatures and clear skies. This week there has been sun, rain, and snow. Yes, snow. On May 17. Utah, will you please make up your mind for which season you'd like to be (preferably late spring/early summer)? Thanks.

Photoshop is awesome. I retaught myself how to use it while I was editing my senior pictures. Give it a try sometime. You'll love it.

I love new artists. Someone told me recently about Sarah Jaffe and her song Clementine. She has a unique voice and some of her songs are a little weird but I like her for the most part. If you have any artists you'd like to share, please tell me! Like I said, I love new artists.
